'Mahé, haven of prostitutes'; BJP leader P C George booked for slanderous remarks

THALASSERY: Police on Saturday registered a case against BJP leader PC George for his inimical remark calling Mahe a haven of prostitutes. George made the controversial statement while inaugurating the election convention of Kozhikode NDA candidate MT Ramesh.

In his statement, George rabidly attacked Mahe for being a den for anti-social elements, rowdies and prostitutes. With the remark going viral across social media, a case was registered. Apart from this, Mahe MLA Ramesh Parambath filed a complaint against PC George with the National Commission for Women and the Election Commission.

Even Mahe region BJP president A Dinesan condemned the slanderous remarks of P C George saying it was regrettable.
