THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It has been revealed that three of the Indian youths trapped in Russia were killed on the Russian battlefront. The revelation was made by Thiruvananthapuram Pozhiyoor native David Muthappan (23) who sustained serious injuries while fighting alongside the Russian mercenary group after getting trafficked to Russia. David is living in a refugee camp in a church in Russia after being seriously injured in a drone attack. He was one of the victims of the agents who cheated and trapped several Indian youths by recruiting them for the job of security guard in Russia.

David went to Russia with the help of an agent in Delhi on November 1 last year. David's brother Kiran Muthappan said that David had given the agent Rs. 3.40 lakhs for this. David is a member of a poor fisherman family. The family doesn't even have a house of its own. His mother is begging for help to get her son back to Kerala.

Earlier, it was reported that several Malayalis, who were trafficked to Russia through job fraud, were assigned to fight the war in Ukraine. The new information comes out at a time when efforts are being made to rescue Thiruvananthapuram Anchuthengu natives Prince Sebastian, Vineeth Selva and Tinu Paniyadima.
