NEW DELHI: Khalistani separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has raised a serious allegation against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Pannun has alleged that the Aam Aadmi party received $16 million (approximately Rs 133.54 crore) from Khalistani groups between 2014 and 2022.
Pannun also alleged that in 2014, Kejriwal had offered to release Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar, an accused in the 1993 Delhi blast case, in return for the money. 10 persons were killed and 31 persons were injured in the blast.
According to Pannun, the Delhi Chief Minister made the offer to facilitate Bhullar's release during the meeting held with pro-Khalistan Sikhs in New York. Pannun made the allegation through a video released on social media the other day. Although the court had earlier sentenced Bhullar to death sentence, the Supreme Court in 2014 commuted it to life imprisonment.
This is not the first time Pannun has raised an allegation against Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. In January, he had alleged that Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had received $6 million from Khalistan supporters in the US and Canada.
