Election notification will be issued today; Mukesh will file nominations in Kollam and Ashwini in Kasargod 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The election notification of other states including Kerala, where the second phase of elections will be held, will be issued today. The candidates can submit their nomination papers till April 4. The elections will be held on April 26 in 98 constituencies including 20 constituencies in Kerala.

Scrutiny of the nomination papers for the first phase of the election will begin today. The first phase of election is being held in 102 constituencies. There is an opportunity to submit nomination papers till March 30. Meantime, in Bihar, candidates can still file their nomination papers in view of the festival.

Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul informed that preparations for filing of nomination papers for elections in Kerala have been completed. The nominations will be received from 11 am to 3 pm. The nomination papers have to be submitted before the returning officers concerned for all the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. M Mukesh MLA, the LDF candidate of Kollam constituency and M L Ashwini, the BJP candidate of Kasargod will file their nomination papers at 11 am today.
