THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the election special drive, five kilograms of ganja were seized during an inspection conducted in collaboration with the railway force. Raju Sah of Bihar's Muzaffarpur was caught with ganja from Raptisagar Express at Kochuveli railway station.
Preventive officer Santhosh Kumar, civil excise officers Vineesh Krishnan, Nanda Kumar, Prabodh and woman civil excise officer Shiny participated in the team led by special squad excise circle inspector Tony Jose.
Meantime, arrack and ganja were seized in the excise election special drive. Two people have been arrested. 10 liters of arrack, 100 liters of koda kept for brewing arrack and brewing equipment were seized from Kanjirapally Erumeli. Rijo Raj (36) of Muttappally, was arrested in Erumeli South Village.
Excise inspector Rajeev, assistant excise inspector (Grade) Abhilash V T, preventive officer Sumod K S, preventive officers (grade) Shefeeq M H, Sameer T A, civil excise officers Roy Varghese, Mamman Samuel and woman civil excise officer Lakshmi Parvathy M also were in the team.
