Kejriwal appears restless, lost 4.5 kg of weight: AAP gives update on Delhi CM's 'worrying' health

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is housed inside UT No. 670 in Tihar Jail. He was shifted here on Monday after being released in judicial custody till April 15.

He was arrested by the ED on March 21 in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. Aam Aadmi Party leader and minister Atishi Marlena gave an update on the Delhi CM's rather concerning health condition.

"Arvind Kejriwal is a severe diabetic. Despite health problems, he used to work 24 hours a day to serve the country. Since his arrest, Arvind Kejriwal has lost 4.5 kg of weight. This is very worrying. Today, the BJP is putting his health at risk by putting him in jail. If something happens to Arvind Kejriwal, forget about the entire country, even God will not forgive the BJP," Atishi wrote on X in Hindi.

But the jail authorities claimed that he weighed 55 kg when he was housed there and that remains unchanged. The officials further added that Arvind Kejriwal's blood sugar levels are normal and he is fine.

Home cooked food is served to the Kejriwal for lunch and dinner. The chief minister is always guarded by two security guards and is under constant surveillance through CCTV cameras. As per reports, Kejriwal appeared restless and only had a little sleep.
