KOCHI: The man accused of pushing a TTE from the train and killing him narrated the incident without any sense of guilt. Visuals of the accused Rajnikanta Ranajith (40), hailing from Ganjam in Odisha, explaining the incident to the RPF and police officials have surfaced.

"I pushed him like this, he fell down," the accused told the police in a loud voice while lying on the seat of the train. In the footage, he can be seen repeatedly saying that he should be taken to Odisha. Meanwhile, a vendor who is an eyewitness to the crime said that the accused came from behind TTE and forcefully pushed him out.

After pushing the TTE, the accused went back to his seat as if nothing had happened. He smelled strongly of alcohol. The witness said that even four people couldn't subdue him.

Rajnikanta, a migrant labourer, pushed TTE Vinod Kannan, a native of Thiruvananthapuram and residing in Mythri Lane in Manjummel in Ernakulam, from the train at Velappaya near Thrissur's Mulangunanthukkavu station following a dispute over his ticket.

The incident took place on Tuesday at 7 pm in the S11 coach of 22643 - Ernakulam - Patna Super Fast. Unaware of the incident, the train continued on its path. According to the information of the accompanying passengers, other TTEs arrived and detained the accused. Later, the Palakkad Railway Police arrested him. After the incident, he also allegedly assaulted other passengers.
