Head injury, legs severed off; Postmortem report of TTE Vinod out

THRISSUR: The preliminary information in the post-mortem report of the TTE who was pushed out of the train and killed by the passenger, is out. The preliminary post-mortem report indicated that TTE Vinod Kannan (48) died of head injuries and his legs being severed off. It is also reported that there were nine deep wounds on the body. The body was taken from Thrissur to Kochi.

It is concluded that Vinod fell from the train to the adjacent track and another train that came on the same track ran over his body. It is believed that this is what led to the amputation of the legs. The preliminary conclusion is that the head was injured when he was pushed from the train.

Rajinikantha, a migrant worker, pushed TTE Vinod off the train at Velappaya near Thrissur Mulagunnathukavu station and killed him. The incident took place in the S-11 coach of 22643 - Ernakulam - Patna Super Fast on Tuesday night around 7 pm. The accused pushed the TTE out of the train due to a dispute regarding the ticket. The train continued its trip without discovering the incident. According to the updation of the accompanying passengers, other TTEs reached and detained the accused. Later, the Palakkad Railway Police arrested him. He had also assaulted other passengers after the incident.
