Two including CPM leader's son injured in explosion while making bomb

KANNUR: Two people sustained injuries when a bomb they were making exploded in Panur. Vineesh from Muliyathode and Sherin from Puthoor were injured. The two have been admitted to a private hospital in Kannur. The incident happened Friday morning at around 1 am.

Vineesh and Sherin are CPM workers. The bomb exploded when they were making it on the terrace of the house. One sustained injury on his face and the other’s palm was severed.

Unconfirmed reports said four people were injured. The police reached the spot on being informed and took the injured to the hospital. Vineesh is the son of a local CPM leader.
