BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut calls Subhash Chandra Bose 'India's first Prime Minister'; KTR scoffs; video

NEW DELHI: Bollywood actress and BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut has called Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose the first Prime Minister of India. The actress is contesting from Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh. BRS working president KT Rama Rao also came to the scene mocking the actress' remark.

"One BJP candidate from North says Subash Chandra Bose was our first PM !! And another BJP leader from South says Mahatma Gandhi was our PM !! Where did all these people graduate from? '- KTR quipped on social media.

Kangana Ranaut called Subhash Chandra Bose the prime minister in a televised interview. 'Where did India's first Prime Minister Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose go when we got independence?' That was the question of the actress. This led to great criticism and ridicule. Congress leader Supriya Sreenathe also took the stage by mocking Kangana. The Congress leader joked that Kangana should not be seen as an ordinary woman and that she will top the list of BJP leaders.

Earlier, Kangana's remark that India got real freedom only after Narendra Modi came to power as Prime Minister in 2014 was also subject to social media trolls.
