NEW DELHI: CPI has released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections. There are many promises. The manifesto says that 33 percent reservation for women will be implemented soon and the wages of rural employment guarantee scheme will be increased to Rs.700.
The old pension scheme will be restored. The post of governor will be abolished. Investigative agencies including ED will be brought under the parliament. The manifesto promises to fight to abolish the CAA and Agnipath, which the central government touts as achievements and to implement caste census.
"If we want to protect our constitution, democracy and the secular democratic structure of our country, it is imperative that we oust the BJP from power. People should defeat BJP and its allies in the elections. Only then can India survive as a secular democratic republic," said CPI General Secretary D Raja.
