Siddharth's death: CBI teams visits college hostel

KALPETTA: A CBI team probing the death of Pookod Veterinary College student JS Siddharth visited the college hostel. The toilet of the hostel where he was found hanging was also inspected. They also visited the courtyard of the hostel, place where the water tank stands and the hilltop areas. The team that took up the investigation on Friday evening reached Wayanad on Saturday morning.

The camp house is at the Rest House in Vythiri. They visited the hostel at 3 pm on Sunday and talked with the current Dean. The team is studying the report of the special investigation team led by the district police chief, which had earlier investigated the case, and the reports of the anti-ragging committee. The persons related to the case will be summoned for the statement. The investigation team consists of two DySPs and an inspector headed by SP Sundervel. The statement of Siddharth's father T Jayaprakash will be recorded on Tuesday at the camp house in Vaithiri. The statements of the suspended Dean and others will also be recorded in the next few days. The questioning of the remanded accused will be based on the permission of the court.
