Scooter went out of control; two people killed on National Highway 766 near Bathery

SULTAN BATHERY: Two people were killed when their scooter overturned on National Highway 766 near Thirunelli Odappallam junction near Bathery. The deceased have been identified as Vishnu Saji (25), son of Saji, resident of Batheri Karuvallikunnu, and Amal Vishnu (24), son of Vasudevan, resident of Manthandikunnu. The accident happened around midnight on Tuesday. The accident took place when Vishnu, who had come to his relative's house in Manthandikunnu, was being dropped off by his friend on a scooter at his house in Karuvallikunnu. The accident occurred when the scooty went out of control and hit the wall of the drainage on the road and a nearby tree. About 10 minutes after the accident, the passers-by saw the victims and immediately informed the police. Both were taken to the hospital by ambulance, but both died by then.
