Man sentenced to 22 years for sexual assault after deceptive pujas

KUNNAMKULAM: Santhosh Keshavan, aged 34 was sentenced to 22 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 1.10 lakh by Judge S Lisha of the Kunnamkulam Fast Track Special Court. He sexually assaulted a young woman after deceiving her that she could cure her husband's alcoholism by doing pujas.

The incident occurred in 2016, when the accused recommended pujas to the woman to address her husband's drinking habit. Subsequently, he was invited to their home and committed the assault. Additionally, he faces pending charges for molesting another woman.
