BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accuses the BJP of attempting 'Operation Lotus' in Karnataka, alleging that they offered Rs 50 crore to Congress MLAs. He made these claims during a national media interview, stating, "They've been trying to destabilize the state government for the past year. Despite offering Rs 50 crore to our MLAs, the BJP's efforts were unsuccessful."
In response, BJP MP Prakash refuted Siddaramaiah's allegations, calling them baseless. He remarked that the Chief Minister's repeated accusations were merely an attempt to garner sympathy.
When asked about the possibility of the Congress-led government collapsing post-elections, Siddaramaiah asserted, "It's not possible. Our MLAs won't defect to the BJP. Not a single MLA will leave the party. The government will serve its full five-year term."
The MP criticized Siddaramaiah for prioritizing the stability of the government over winning seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
