Two killed in bike-jeep collision in Idukki

IDUKKI: Two people were killed in an accident after a bike and a jeep collided near Kumili Holiday Home. The bike going to Kannimachola collided with the jeep coming towards Kumili. The dead have been identified as Ajay and Santhosh of Kannimarchola in Vandiperiyar. The two died on the spot itself.

Arun, injured in the accident, has been admitted to Kottayam Medical College. His condition is critical. Santhosh's hand was severed in the accident. Meantime, accidents were reported in Idukki recently. The accident happened at the turning of Pemaram on the Mankulam-Anakulam road.

The accident happened when the tourists lost control of their car around 6 pm. The accident happened again at the same place where a traveler accident had claimed the lives of four a few days ago. The car lost control while coming down and narrowly escaped without falling into a gorge. If the vehicle had fallen down, there would have been a similar major accident again.
