KOCHI: In the security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a tragic incident occurred involving Manoj Unni (28), who tragically died after accidentally strangling himself with a rope placed by the police across the road in Valanjambalam. According to a recent lab report, Manoj was intoxicated at the time of the incident, with a blood alcohol level of 131 mg. The police received this report yesterday.

It's been reported that before the accident, Manoj had been drinking with friends, a fact supported by witness statements obtained by the police. Following the tragedy, Manoj's family has once again called for a thorough investigation into his death. Sister Chippi reiterated that the police were negligent, emphasizing the need for visible barricades or ribbons to prevent such accidents. She intends to file a complaint with the Chief Minister regarding this matter.

The incident occurred at 9:45 pm on Sunday as Manoj was descending from the South flyover on SA road from the Manalipadam colony after celebrating Vishu with his friends.
