DUBAI: Flights have been cancelled due to the bad weather in UAE. Three flights from Kochi to Dubai were cancelled. Heavy rain continues in the UAE. Traffic restrictions were imposed in many places due to the floods.
Many flights to Dubai International Airport have been diverted due to the heavy rains. The airport, Dubai Mall, Mall of Emirates and Dubai Metro Station have been flooded. Many roads collapsed.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) have issued a special warning to those in the UAE due to heavy rains. The NCEMA directive said that people should stay indoors and go out only for emergency purposes.

The authority also advised vehicles to be parked at safe and elevated locations away from flood-prone areas. In the wake of heavy rains, all schools have shifted to online classes. Government employees were asked to continue work from home. This is the second alert issued by the authorities in two months. In March as well, the authority had issued special precautionary instructions to those in the UAE to stay at home.
