THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Gold prices remain unchanged in the state on Wednesday with the price of one sovereign gold at Rs 54,360. This price was same last day. The price of one gram of gold is Rs 7,134. By the beginning of April, the price of one sovereign of gold crossed over Rs 50,000. On April 2, a relatively low price occurred in gold. The price of one Pawan gold was Rs 50,680 then.
The price of one gram of sand has come down to Rs.89. It was Rs 90.50 on Tuesday. Silver will cost Rs 89,000 per kilogram. Considering the economic uncertainty, large investors and various central banks are shifting their money to gold, which is a safe investment. In the international market, gold prices are trading close to $2,400 per ounce. If the current trend continues, price of one sovereign of gold may go above Rs 55,000 this month. At present, buying one sovereign of gold costs up to Rs 60,000, including labour charges, GST and cess.
