Tipper turns killer yet again, youth dies in Mukkam P C Junction

KOZHIKODE: A motorist was killed in an accident after being hit by a tipper lorry at Mukkam P C junction. The dead is Shibumon of Urangattiri in Malappuram. The accident happened late last night. The tipper hit the back of his bike. The body is kept in Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.


Three motorists were killed in two tipper accidents in the state recently. K A Eldhose (52), agriculture assistant and of Kothamangalam Karukadam Kunnasseri House died in an accident that happened at Okkal Thannipuzha on M C Road. His daughter Blessy also died in the accident.


The tipper hit the back of his bike when Eldhose was on his way to drop his daughter Blessy, a nursing student in Coimbatore, to Angamaly railway station. Both fell on the road. The lorry ran over them and went forward with the two for nearly ten meters. Blessy died on the spot itself. Eldhose was taken to Angamali LF Hospital but died within ten minutes.

Thajudeen (32) of Kannur Kattampally died after a tipper hit the back of his bike. He was coming from Olavara and the tipper was coming from the side of Kotty railway station. Thajudeen had a shop named Kattampally traders, involved in the sale of cement, bricks and tiles at Thrikaripur Railway Station Road for many years. He is survived by his wife Rafeena (Mankadav).
