'Pinarayi blaming me 24 hours a day'; Rahul Gandhi slams Kerala CM

rahul-gandhi

KOTTAYAM: Lashing out at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday alleged that Pinarayi was trying to blame and attack him 24 hours a day while remaining mum against the BJP. Rahul Gandhi was speaking at the election campaign meeting of UDF candidate Francis George at Thirunakkara in Kottayam.

"Two Chief Ministers are currently in jail. However, the ED is not even ready to summon the Kerala Chief Minister for questioning. The BJP is not opposing or tormenting the Kerala CM in any way. I'm surprised by this," Rahul said.

"The central government is using Manipur and other issues to divert attention from the fundamental problems of the country. If the Indian Prime Minister gives instructions to the army, the conflict in Manipur will end in three days. If the India coalition comes to power, Rs 1 lakh will reach every year in the accounts of economically backward women," he said.

In addition to Francis George, UDF candidates Kodikunnil Suresh and Anto Antony also participated in the general meeting held in Kottayam.
