KALPATTA: NDA has filed a complaint with the Election Commission against LDF candidate Annie Raja in Wayanad. Prashanth Malavayal, the Wayanad Parliament convener, filed the complaint. The complaint alleges that the election campaign was conducted using children.
On the evening of the 20th of this month, children under the age of ten participated in the rally held for Annie Raja in Kalpetta under the leadership of left-wing student organizations. NDA has submitted a complaint containing footage showing that the incident was a flagrant violation of election rules.
Earlier, a case was filed against UDF candidate Shashi Tharoor based on a complaint by Thiruvananthapuram NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Police action was taken on the allegation that UDF candidate Shashi Tharoor claimed NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar was providing money for votes to religious organizations. The Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by Rajeev Chandrasekhar with the DGP.
Previously, Tharoor had made allegations against Rajeev Chandrasekhar, claiming he was paying for votes in coastal areas. Rajeev Chandrasekhar responded to Tharoor's allegations in an interview given to Kerala Kaumudi. Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that when discussing development, there is a vicious attempt to attract attention by launching personal attacks.
