THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: RSP leader NK Premachandran on Saturday alleged that CPM central committee member and LDF convener EP Jayarajan met BJP leader Prakash Javadekar on the instructions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

"The meeting was with the knowledge and consent of the Chief Minister. This is why Pinarayi (Vijayan), who initially rejected Jayarajan, later defended him. How can Pinarayi, who hosted Nitin Gadtakari at Cliff House, could blame EP Jayarajan," Premachandran asked.

"Nitin Gadkari, who is closely related to the RSS leadership, came to Kovalam and Kanyakumari with his family on a personal visit. Pinarayi invited Gadkari to Cliff House after learning about this," he said

"It should be clarified whether the Chief Minister's action is suitable for a CPM Politburo member. The Chief Minister says that he has met Javadekar many times. Chief Minister should clarify to the public why he met Javadekar after the election was announced", he added.

Premachandran also alleged that the discussion with Javadekar was part of a strategic policy and a deal fixing to support the BJP in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram seats for eliminating the Karuvannur, Lavalin, Exalogic and gold smuggling cases.
