Student dies in collision involving scooter and car in Kottarakkara

KOTTARAKKARA: A student died in an accident involving a scooter and a car. The deceased has been identified as Ananthu (22), son of Omanakuttan and Sindhu, on Mohana Vilasam in Padinjaru Thachanmukku in Poovattur. His friend Harikumar, who was with him on the scooter, was admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.

The accident took place at Kulakkada's Puthoor Junction around 3.30 pm on Sunday. Ananthu, who was studying in Ernakulam, was on his way to Kottarakkara with his classmate and neighbour Harikumar when the oncoming car hit him. Ananthu died instantly.

Brother: Nandu. Ananthu's body is kept in Taluk Hospital Mortuary. Kottarakkara police registered a case.
