IDUKKI: A survivor in a POCSO case has been found dead in mysterious circumstances. The incident happened at Erattayar in Idukki. The body was found with a belt tightened around her neck.
The girl was sleeping when her parents went for work. She was found lying dead when her mother returned at 11 am. The body was in the bed with a belt tightened around her neck. On being informed, the police reached the spot and took further steps.
The body will be shifted to the hospital for postmortem after forensic and finger print experts collect evidence. The police said that only after the postmortem, a clarity will be obtained on her death. It is suspected to be a murder.
The girl was subjected to sexual abuse two years ago. All the accused were arrested then. An investigation was going on in the POCSO case. She was found dead in between this. The Kattappana police is in charge of the investigation.
