‘Introduced Jeethu to Mohanlal, but was not offered a chance so far, no enmity with him’

Maniyanpilla Raju is the favorite actor of the Malayalees. The actor, who has completed 49 years in his film career, is busy promoting his latest film 'Gu'. Everything Manianpilla talks in an interview over the promotion of the movie is being discussed on social media.

Maniyanpilla has now come forward expressing his dissatisfaction publicly with director Jeethu Joseph. In an interview, he said that he introduced Jeethu Joseph to Mohanlal, but was not offered a chance in his films.

‘Jeethu Joseph came to see me years ago. When I asked him what was the matter, he told me that he wants to narrate a story to Lalettan. I took Jeethu to the shooting location of ‘Hello’ and introduced him to Lal. He usually listens to everything I say. That time also it was the same. Jeethu told the story to Lal. That story was that of a police officer. After hearing the story, Lal said, 'I am now doing the role of a police in Shaji Kailas' film. It will be impossible to play the role of a police immediately'. Jeethu later made the film with Prithviraj and it became a hit.

After that, Jeethu did Drishyam and Drishyam 2 with Mohanlal. I, who introduced Mohanlal to Jeethu, was not offered a role so far. I didn’t go asking for it. He may call me sometime. I don't have any enmity with him, but he hasn’t called me in any of his films.

In my earlier days, I had gone to meet Hariharan Sir many times seeking chances. At that time, he did many comedy films. He never gave me a chance in any of his films, but I adore him a lot. He often compliments me after seeing my films. I don't have any complaints for not offering me any films. Though I don’t have any complaints, I am sad,’ he said.
