10-year-old girl abducted in Kasargod was sexually abused, three in custody

police

KASARGOD: The medical report said the 10-year-old girl, abducted from her home in Ozhinhavalappu Padanakkad in the district and her gold stolen, was sexually abused. The locals saw the girl, who was abandoned, in the morning with injuries on her eyes and neck. Three people have been taken into custody and reports said they are from a drug mafia group.

The girl was abducted Wednesday morning at 3 am and later was found abandoned after stealing her gold studs. At around 3 am, the child's grandfather had gone out to the cow shed after opening the backdoor of the house. In the meantime, the thieves entered the house and abducted the child through this backdoor. After stealing the gold earrings, they abandoned the girl near the house. The child is presently at the Kanhangad District Hospital.

Upon learning that the child had gone missing, the locals conducted a search in the nearby area. However, they were not able to find her anywhere. In the meantime, the child reached a nearby house, woke up the family and told them what had happened. Following this, the family informed the locals about the incident. The police initially suspected that theft was not the only motive behind the incident.

From the beginning, there were suspicions that someone who clearly knows that the kitchen door is regularly opened early in the morning to milk the cow and closes it after that, was behind the incident. That is how the investigation proceeded. The police are interrogating those in custody in detail.
