Fights with wife in KSRTC bus, youth fractures leg jumping out of window

THRISSUR: A youth fractured his leg after jumping out of the window following a fight with his wife. The youth, a native of Vaikom, who sustained serious injuries has been admitted at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital. The incident happened Monday evening at 4.30 pm. The incident happened near Nattakam in the KSRTC bus going to Ernakulam from the capital city.

The passengers said the couple was found fighting from Changanassery. When the bus reached Nattakam Mariyapally area, the youth told the conductor to stop the bus. However, the bus employees said the bus will stop at the KSRTC stand. In the meanwhile, he jumped out of the window. The driver stopped the bus. His wife summoned the 108 Ambulance and took him to the hospital.

He fractured his left leg. He is under observation in the ICU. His health condition is satisfactory. Further treatment will be decided only after a scan. Gandhinagar police said as the accident was from the bus, a preliminary investigation will be conducted. An investigation will be conducted only if there is a complaint. No one has filed a complaint so far.
