PATHANAMTHITTA: It has been alleged that Kudumbashree hotel entrepreneurs were evicted from a building by the DTPC for refusing to subscribe to the CPM mouthpiece. The incident took place in Malayalapuzha in Pathanamthitta. It was a group of women entrepreneurs who came up with a complaint against the CPM. However, DTPC has denied the allegation.

The local CPM leadership had demanded that all the six women employees of the hotel should subscribe to the newspaper. According to the complaint, the hotel entrepreneurs, who have been functioning for the last 10 years, were evicted from the building as they refused to subscribe to the newspaper.

However, DTPC explains that a tender was legally invited and awarded to a new party after a problem arose in the auditing on awarding the tender to the same entrepreneurs for 10 years.
