Father commits suicide after murdering four-year-old son in Ernakulam

KOCHI: A man and his four-year-old son were found hanging in a house in Ernakulam. The incident took place in Mannamthuruthu in Varapuzha. The preliminary conclusion of the police is that the father committed suicide after murdering his son.

Malappuram Athavanad native Shareef (41) and his son Alfifas (4) were found dead in a rented house in Mannamthuruthu. It is learnt that Shareef committed suicide following a family dispute with his wife. It is indicated that he committed suicide this morning.

Shareef and his family had been living in a rented house in Mannamthuruthu for the last three months. His wife is Khadeeja.
She is now living somewhere else. Police have received information that Shareef had informed his wife that he would commit suicide.
