Notorious criminal hid in kennel to escape police, arrested at last

PALLURUTHY: The man who escaped from police custody while being taken to the hospital for medical treatment was found in a dog cage. The said individual Chettiparambu Manish (29) is a native of Vaduthala in Arookkutty and now residing in Thattekkadu Veedu near Aquinas College. He was arrested by the Palluruthy Police under sections of the KAAPA Act.

After escaping from custody, he entered two houses in Maithri Nagar in Karuvelippadi, but when the family members resisted him, he ran away and hid in a kennel of a nearby house belonging to a doctor. He was accused in around twelve cases including attempted murder, housebreaking and drug cases at various stations in the state and was ordered to be jailed under the KAAPA Act.

The accused, who was absconding in Bangalore, was arrested from there by Palluruthy Police Inspector Sanju Joseph, Sanju Joseph, SI MM Muneer, Senior Civil Police Officer Prijith, Civil Police Officers KS Bibin and Umesh Udayan.
