Kerala govt makes major IAS reshuffle

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following the withdrawal of the election code of conduct, the government kick-started works to reshuffle the IAS officials in the state. Director of Industry and Commerce Department S. Harikishore has been appointed as the new PRD Secretary. He will also hold the additional charge of Industries and Commerce Department and KSIDC MD.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer V.R. Premkumar has been made MD of the water authority replacing Bhandari Swagat Ranveer Chand IAS who is still on leave. Binu Francis, Deputy Secretary and MD in charge of project implementation, has been made Joint MD of Water Authority, replacing Joint MD Dr Dinesan Cheruvat who is on leave. Francis will also hold the additional charge of the Executive Director of the Jalanidhi Project.

Haritha V. Kumar, MD, Department of Mining & Geology, has been made MD, Department of Women and Child Welfare. K. Harikumar, Deputy Secretary of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Department, is now the Director of the Mining & Geology Department. He will also have the additional charge of Deputy Secretary and Director in charge of project implementation. Suraj Shaji, General Manager of Civil Supplies, has been transferred as Director of Urban Affairs. He will also hold the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of LIFE Mission.

Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Director, of the Survey and Land Records Department, has been made Principal Director of, the Local Government Department. He will also hold the additional charge of the Survey and Land Records Department. M.G Rajamanickam, the Principal Director of the Local Government Department, was made the Secretary of the Devaswom. He will also hold the additional charge as Amrit Mission Director.

TV Anupama, who returned from leave, was appointed Special Secretary of the Local Government Department. Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Pranabjyoti Nath has been given additional charge of the Minority Welfare Department. IT Secretary Ratan Kelkar has been given the additional charge of the Cooperation Department and Health Additional Chief Secretary Dr Rajan Khobragade has been given the additional charge of the Culture Department.
