Former Bigg Boss winner Akhil Marar is known for being vociferous in his support of Suresh Gopi. The director turned reality show winner was also a target of many cyber-attacks for his undue support to the BJP leader. Regardless of the critics, Marar is steadfast in his actions and is in no mood to change.

Akhil Marar:

“Sureshettan called me finally and we talked for about seven minutes. Even in this short conversation, we were able to make an intellectual connection. This is the first time we have talked and it was great. Similar to Suresh Gopi, I have also fiercely supported actor Dileep. It was the right decision according to my conscience. I didn’t support Dileep seeing his massive fan base or because of the constant vilification he was getting from social media.

Thousands of hate messages were filling the comment section of actor Suresh Gopi. It was during that time that I posted a positive message in support of him. This also gifted me the Sanghi label for the first time.

And when it comes to Dillepettan, I am sure that the people now throwing brickbats at him will sing paeans when the truth comes out. There is much more to the issue than what meets the eye. A time will come when people start praising Dileep for the years of crucifixion he suffered. When Suresh Gopi won the elections, some people told me how right I was in my prediction and support, and the same will happen to Dileep's case too.”
