THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Kerala for the next five days. Yellow alert has been announced today in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Malappuram districts.
A yellow alert has been announced in Kannur, Kasaragod districts tomorrow. Meanwhile, there is no rain warning on Wednesday and Thursday, but there is a possibility of light rain in isolated places. Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are on yellow alert on 21st. A chance of isolated heavy rain is forecast. Heavy rains mean rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
