Fake notes seized in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: Huge fake notes were seized in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. Fake notes worth Rs 20 lakh were seized from two places. Machines used to print the notes were found from Kundamangalam in Kozhikode and Feroke. The police have arrested two persons in connection with the incident.

Shameer, a native of Kundamangalam and Abdul Rasheed of Feroke have been arrested. The raid in Feroke is almost complete. Fake notes were Rs 2,40,000 were seized from there. The notes were printed in a rented house in Kodambuzha. 70 notes of Rs 2000 and 180 notes of Rs 500 were seized. The most number of counterfeit notes were found in a raid in Kundamangalam.
