NEW DELHI: 'Imagine a person who has played fraud on the system becomes a doctor! He is more deleterious to the society. Therefore, even if there is 0.001% negligence on the part of anyone, it should be thoroughly dealt with. Admit it if you are wrong,' the Supreme Court asked the National Testing Agency.

The vacation bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and SV Bhatti was hearing petitions related to question paper leak and grace mark controversy. The petitions will be heard along with similar petitions on July 8. NTA and central government should give a detailed reply.

"We all know the labour which the children undergo, especially in preparing for these exams. Even minor negligence in the conduct of examinations should be taken seriously. Justice Bhatti said that the examination agency should stick to its stand and this will increase the confidence of people in NEET. "The court is taking the matter seriously. There will be a strong reaction. However, the vacation bench has limitations. Timely action is desired."
