'Modiji says he stopped Russia-Ukraine war, but couldn't stop question paper leak'

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the Narendra Modi government in the wake of the cancellation of the UGC NET exam. He said thousands of people had complained about the question paper leak during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

'Modiji says that Russia-Ukraine war has stopped. But due to some reasons Narendra Modi could not stop question paper leak in India. Or don't want to stop it'- Rahul Gandhi said in a press conference.

The reason behind the question paper leak is that the education system has been hijacked by BJP's parent organization. As long as this does not change, the paper leak will continue. Modiji facilitated this. This is an anti-national act,' he added.

"Our vice-chancellors are not appointed on the basis of merit, but because they belong to a particular organization. This organization and the BJP have infiltrated our education system and destroyed it," said Rahul Gandhi.

The National Testing Agency has cancelled the UGC NET exam following reports of irregularities. The Union Education Ministry informed that the new date of the exam will be announced later. CBI will investigate the incident.

The examination was cancelled on the basis of information handed over to the UGC yesterday by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center under the Ministry of Home Affairs. But what happened or in which center was not revealed. The central government said that the action is to ensure the integrity and sanctity of the examination. The examination was conducted in two shifts in OMR mode.
