ALUVA: Four kilos of ganja were found abandoned at the Aluva railway station on Sunday. The ganja was found from platform number 1 yesterday around 11.30 am during the inspection conducted by Excise and RPF. Aluva Railway Protection Force and Aluva Range Excise have been constantly monitoring the railway station after receiving information about the smuggling of ganja centred in Aluva. It is suspected that the ganja was brought from Visakhapatnam. A case has been registered under the leadership of Aluva Range Inspector M Suresh.
Aluva RPF Sub-Inspector KS Manikandan, Assistant Excise Inspector Grade CN Rajesh, Assistant Sub-Inspectors KJ Surendran, KK Suresh, Constable Sasikumar, Excise Preventive Officer Grade OS Jagadish, Civil Excise Officers MT Sreejith, MT Vishnu Nair, Basil K Thomas and driver CT Pradeep Kumar were also present in the inspection team.
Seven kilograms of ganja found in last one month
Seven kilograms of ganja was found abandoned at Aluva railway station in the last one month. Aluva Excise Range Office and Aluva Railway Protection Force had found one kg of ganja during a joint inspection held on May 20.
