Joint Superintendent K S Sreejith in charge of Kannur Central Jail Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent Grade-I B G Arun and assistant prison officer O V Reghunath have been ordered to be suspended from service pending investigation.
K K Rema MLA had sought permission to move notice for adjournment motion on the issue, but the Speaker had denied permission. The Speaker dismissed the notice stating that the government has clarified that there is no move for commutation of sentence.
