Recounting Sappy: "He was happy, feeling loved, living without any deceit"

Actor Siddique's son, Rashin, affectionately known as Sappy, has not woken up since yesterday morning. The 37-year-old Sappy chose to sleep forever. After the rituals, Siddique ikka sat by father and shared memories late into the night, sitting on the veranda next to the room where Sappy slept.

Siddique ikka's persona changes when he speaks of his son, shedding his actor's facade to reveal a grieving father. Sappy was known for his quirky habits: collecting items, craving chicken, fearing the dark and suffering from epilepsy. These memories brought tears to his eyes, blending the roles of father and son.

Sappy's favourite place was the library, particularly world books. A visit to the library always brightened his mood. He meticulously arranged books that others carelessly misplaced, endearing him to the librarian, who now faces the task alone.

In an effort to console Siddique ikka, father said: "He was happy, Siddique. Think of his world. Couldn't he live in a house like this, feeling only love, without any deceit? What a peaceful life that would be."

Siddique ikka reminisced about Sappy's extraordinary memory, recalling how he could instantly remember dates and weeks. One day, Sappy surprised everyone by riding off on a bicycle left in the yard, returning an hour later. Siddique remembered holding his son's incredibly soft hands, marveling at their delicate touch.

As Siddique ikka paused, his voice filled with emotion, he hoped Sappy, now resting in the dark room, would overcome his fear of the dark.
