Man commits suicide after denial of chit fund, family and BJP workers protest with dead body outside Chempazhanthy Cooperative Society

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP carried out a protest in front of Agricultural Improvement Cooperative Society in Chempazhanthy with the dead body of a person who committed suicide. The deceased Biju Kumar committed suicide after naming the president of the cooperative society as the person responsible for his death.

Relatives allege that Bijukumar committed suicide after his chit fund was not paid by the society. As per Bijukumar's suicide note, Jayakumar, president of the cooperative society in Chempazhanthy is blamed for his death and the protesters demanded his arrest.

The BJP workers were of the view that they will not move the dead body until the RDO reaches the spot. Joint Registrar, RDO and Tehsildar reached the spot and held talks with the protestors. Meanwhile, it is reported that more people have come with complaints to get their money back.
