Man, who was sentenced to jail for killing mother, murders brother with pestle after getting out on parole

PATHANAMTHITTA: A convict, who was serving a prison term for killing his mother, beat his brother to death after getting out on parole. Satheesh Kumar (61), of Mattathil Puthen Veedu in Kottappuram in Adoor, was killed by his elder brother Mohanan Unnithan (68). The incident took place at their family house around 5:30 am on Saturday.

Mohanan Unnithan, who was convicted for killing his mother and spent 17 years in Thiruvananthapuram's open prison, was released on parole on June 13.

Satheesh told Mohanan, who went out and returned home drunk, that he should not come home after having drinks. Enraged by this, Mohanan came inside the house with a pestle and hit Satheesh on the head, killing him. Mohanan, who was under the influence of alcohol, was taken into custody by the police. Both the brothers are unmarried.
