Reinstatement of rape case accused Sajimon; turmoil and profanity in CPM Local Committee meeting

THIRUVALLA: The CPM Thiruvalla North Local Committee meeting, which convened to report on the decision to reinstate molestation accused CC Sajimon to the party, ended in turmoil and profanity.

Sajimon had also come to participate in the local committee meeting held on Saturday evening. A section demanded the decision be reported after excluding Sajimon from the meeting. After an argument, Sajimon was made to stay out of the meeting.

Sajimon is the accused in a case where a woman was raped and made pregnant, and in a case of impersonation during the DNA test of the child born to that woman. He was also involved in the incident where a woman leader was taken in a car and her obscene scenes were filmed and circulated. Sajimon, who was suspended from the post of local committee secretary and party membership, was reinstated in the party last week.

Posters against Sajimon have been put up in various parts of the city. Thiruvalla Paurasamiti put up posters demanding that Sajimon, who is a rape hero, a womanizer and a bribe taker, should take over the paternity of the child born out of illegitimacy. Sajimon who was expelled after the intervention of party central committee members was asked to be reinstated by the state control commission.
