Uproar in Lok Sabha during Rahul Gandhi's speech, Amit Shah calls for apology

NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha witnessed a heated exchange during Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi's speech. Rahul Gandhi claimed that violence is being perpetrated in the name of Hindus, which led to a strong response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who stated that calling Hindus aggressors is a serious allegation.

During his speech, Rahul Gandhi mocked the Prime Minister by implying a direct connection to God because Modi had previously claimed that the Abhaya Mudra of Shiva symbolizes the Congress. Modi responded by referring to a film that, according to him, revived Gandhiji's image.

Rahul Gandhi used the image of Lord Shiva to emphasize his point, stating that it conveys the message of not fearing anyone. This action was met with objection from the Speaker. Gandhi also displayed a picture of Guru Nanak while asserting that an attack is ongoing against 'India,' targeting those who oppose the BJP's ideology.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah countered Rahul Gandhi's statements, asserting that Gandhi has no right to speak about the Abhaya Mudra and demanded an apology. Throughout Rahul's speech, he was repeatedly interrupted by ministers, contributing to the uproar in the House.
