Modi attacks Congress in Rajya Sabha too; repeats 'parasite' phrase against Congress; opposition stages walkout

NEW DELHI: After Loksabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress in his response to the debate on the motion of thanks in the Rajya Sabha too. Opposition staged a walkout alleging that opposition leader Mallikarjuna Kharge was not given a chance to speak.

Modi accused the Congress, which blocked fundamental rights through the emergency, of being the number one enemy of the Constitution. He also repeated the joke that Congress is a parasite that won the election with the help of its allies. Those who were drowned in corruption in the past are now raising their voices against it. Those who accuse the centre of misusing central agencies are calling for the jailing of the front's own party's chief minister in Kerala. Samajwadi should remember Mulayam Singh's allegation of CBI misuse during UPA rule in 2013. Former CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat had also made the same allegation.

Country will be made corruption free

Remote control rule was exercised by the Advisory Council above the Prime Minister in the UPA government of the Congress. The Prime Minister was insulted. A protocol was designed for one family exclusively.

The opposition staged a walkout because they were unable to face the truth. They do not have the courage to listen to the answers to their questions. They dishonor the upper house. They are disappointed that the 'relaunching' of some (Rahul Gandhi) has failed.

10 years of our governance are just appetizers as the main course of development is yet to come. People gave us recognition. We will rule in times to come because of the people's trust. Ten years of NDA government have passed and 20 more years to go. Like a lighthouse, the government will be a guide for the people. Poverty will be eradicated. There will be changes in infrastructure sectors.

Peace will be restored in Manipur

Peace will be restored in Manipur. As drastic measures were taken, the violence decreased. Peace has returned. President's rule was imposed there 10 times when Congress ruled. From that, it is clear that there are some problems. The violence that started in 1993 and lasted for five years.

Rajya Sabha Speaker Jagdeep Dhankar said that the opposition was given maximum time to speak and the walkout by the opposition during the Prime Minister's speech was disrespectful and insulting to the Constitution and the House.

Mallikarjuna Kharge said that the walkout was because he had asked for clarity on the RSS opposing the Constitution in 1950 but he was not allowed to speak.
