Police at loggerheads over contradictions in Kala murder case; will bring back Anil Kumar from Israel

ALAPPUZHA: Police will fast-track efforts to bring back the prime accused in the Kala murder case, Anil Kumar from Israel. The police are at loggerheads after seeing big contradictions in the statements given by the accused.

Police have not yet been able to confirm the date of the murder or locate the weapon. The investigation has started focusing on the Maruti car used during the murder. No clue exists as to the car's whereabouts from 15 years ago. The police are waiting for the scientific test results of the samples obtained from the septic tank. It will be only after the test that the officials will be able to identify the victim.

Kala's husband Anil is the first accused in the case. The other accused are Anil's relatives and friends Jinu, Soman and Pramod. The police concluded that the four killed Kala inside the car and then buried her inside the septic tank. The incident took place 15 years ago.
