KOZHIKODE: Young college students in Kerala will now get insight into the 'green life' propounded by professor T Shobindran, an environmentalist who wore green pants, a green shirt and a green hat and lived in a cloistered world amidst the greenness of nature.

Young writer Dr Deepesh Karimpungara’s ‘Motorcycle Diaries Johninoppam’ and ‘Molakalmuruvile Rapakalukal’ will be included in the four-year undergraduate course syllabus of Kerala and MG Universities. Chapters mentioning Dr T. Shobindran from these two books will be made as part of the syllabus.

‘Vishapinte Vazhiyambalangalil’, a chapter from the book ‘Motorcycle Diaries Johninoppam’ has been included in MG University’s Malayalam Textbook. 'A Historical Journey to Brahmagiri’ from the book ‘Molakalmuruvile Rapakalukal’ has been included in Kerala University’s graduation syllabus.

‘Motorcycle Diaries Johninoppam’ tells about the riveting road trip made by Professor T Shobindran on his Rajdoot bike with celebrated Avant-garde film director John Abraham.

A native of Muttoli and head of the Malayalam Department of Chelannur Sree Narayanaguru College, Dr Deepesh Karimpungara wrote these two books during the pandemic era. Deepesh's former book 'Marubhumiile Marujeevitangal' was also included in the syllabus of Kerala University.
