KOZHIKODE: A court on Thursday rejected the bail plea of the accused who were arrested for allegedly attacking KSEB staff and vandalising the KSEB office in Thiruvambady after KSEB disconnected the power supply of a house for non-payment of an electricity bill. It was the Thamarassery Judicial First Class Magistrate Court that rejected the bail plea filed by accused Ajmal and his brother Shahdad. The court pointed out that the accused had committed a serious offence.

The court stated that the attack on the government institution was a very serious offence. The investigating officer told the court that the Youth Congress leader Ajmal, the first accused, is a habitual offender.
