I'm just guardian of Kumaranashan's chair: Vellapally

HARIPPAD: SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan said that he is not the person sitting on Kumaranashan's chair but only the guardian of that chair. He was inaugurating the leadership training camp “Padashala 2024” at Sree Ramakrishna Ashram, Muttom under the leadership of Yogam Cheppad Union.

"No one else has the right to sit in the chair of Sree Narayana Gurudeva and Kumaranashan. I am only a messenger to spread their ideas. Politicians say SNDP Yogam should not talk about caste. But all others can speak about caste. They are criticizing the organization after extracting some parts of the Guru's visions and misinterpreting them. Politicians do not want Ezhavas to get united. If Ezhavas stand together, we will decide who should rule Kerala. AM Ariff lost in Alappuzha as the Muslim people unitedly voted for the Congress to end the BJP rule at the centre. However, Ezhavas do not have this unity. We should have the organizational strength to decide who should win and who should lose in elections," Vellapally said.

"Those who turn a blind eye in front of minorities in granting rights are building a wall in front of us and blocking our way. There is clear caste discrimination in Kerala. I'm not against granting rights to any community. However, there should be social justice. Even if we have different political opinions, we should stand together for the community. We must have the willpower to demonstrate that the Ezhava community is not something that others can attack at will. I'm ready to sacrifice everything for the community. I'm ready to give my blood if they want it. I have no desire to go to parliament. My party is the party of the community. I will speak about caste till the caste culture exists in the state," he added.
