KOZHIKODE: CPM area committee member Pramod Kottoolli, who was expelled following the complaint of taking bribe for PSC membership, has come forward with a new revelation. "The party has been misdirected. The party's action is without understanding my part. The conspiracy of some people behind this will be exposed," Pramod said.
"Sreejith, the homeo doctor's husband who is accused of giving the bribe, is my relative and friend. His demand was to get his wife, who was in the PSC rank list, appointed in Kozhikode. However, I did not accept a single rupee saying that the job would be done. I will file a complaint with the police and vigilance to prove the truth. I am collecting evidence for it now."
"Sreejith's wife works in Mangalore. She wants to come back to her own place. There are family problems. I said that I can't do anything as it is a PSC subject. Still he kept calling me. That's when I sent the photo to show him that I was in touch with the Health Minister's office to appease him.
"I had asked Sreejith if he could help me by buying a place for the education of a party comrade's son. In this regard, some people in the party had created a misconception. Sreejith had said that the district committee member would cheat. I was fired according to a pre-arranged decision. If there is anyone else along with the district committee member and the local committee member who filed the complaint, it will come out. If there are people in the party with criminal links, it is my responsibility to bring them out. I am hurt that I have been expelled on a non-existent charge. I will prove my innocence. I have not called any BJP leader for help in the matter," Promod said.
